KS Ramachandran aka Chandan is known for singing songs of Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Manna Dey, Talat Mahmood, Hemat Kumar, and other legendary playback singers. He is the co-founder of the Rafi Chapter of Chennai. He has performed in various musical entertainment programs in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai, and is extremely passionate about singing Rafi Sahab’s numbers. He proudly says, “I breathe in and breathe out Rafi Sahab’s renditions." Musical Milestones: Performed exclusive shows of 'Rafi Ke Nagme, Chandan Ke Surme' on 2 August 2014 at The Music Academy, Chennai and on 14 August 2015 at The Museum Theater, Egmore, Chennai, to pay tribute to Late Mohd Rafi on his 34th and 35th death anniversaries, respectively Actively performed on stage as well as done karaoke shows at private parties, get-togethers, birthdays, weddings, and chamber concerts on continuous basis, bringing out the real vocal cords of legendary singers like Mohd Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Talat, Yesudas, Manna Dey, and a host of other playback singers Lifetime Achievement Award with the title 'Chennai Rafi' by FMLR (Fellowship of Music Loving Rotarians, Chennai) on Saturday, the 16 May 2015, at The Haddows Club, Chennai
