Kautilya Chanakya Shukla is a professional singer based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. He is an independent music producer as well. Also known as Chank amongst his close circle, he has a long and fruitful history with music. A winner of a few national competitions and a great performer, Chanakya Shukla is a man of many talents. He grew up in a musical environment as his father was a great fan of Mohd Rafi, and his mother was crazy for Kishore Kumar’s music. Listening to music since childhood gradually manifested into a passion for Chanakya. In school, he was well-known for his dance performances, but on his 14th birthday, his mother changed the every-year trend of dancing and asked everybody to play ‘Antakshri’ (singing songs), it is here that Chanakya’s voice was first appreciated and the journey began. His mother took it seriously and sent Chanakya to learn the basics of Indian classical music from the retired music director of Doordarshan and AIR, MC Sharma. Soon he met his partner Nishant Rastogi, with whom he jammed a little and discovered a great chemistry between them. Soon they started writing and composing songs and formed a band known as Radix - The Origin. They have earned a lot of name, fame, and commercial value for their heart touching self-compositions. They have played on AIR thrice. With time Chanakya moved more into music production. He now has a production house set-up and has worked with many artists.
