Born on 10th March in the village of Rohti Mauda (Nabha), district Patiala, in the house of Sardar Baldev Singh and Sr. Baljit Kaur, Chamkaur had a passion for singing since childhood.

While studying at Rohti Government School, he started paticipating in school functions and progressed futher to polish his talent during his graduation from Ripudaman College, Nabha where he took part in various functions and competitions and won various awards and laurels.

Chamkaur launched himself in Punjabi music Industry with his album, Velli Putt, in collaboration with SMI Records. After the success of his first album Chamkaur associated himself with Point Zero Entertainers and released a superhit album, Khushiyan.

He has also contributed in a multi starrer album, Aao Saare Nachiye, which is again a very hit music album among youngsters and his new track can be heard in the new volume of Aao Saare Nachiye 3.
