C Hari Nishaanth is an Indian cricketer, an opening batsman for Tamil Nadu in the domestic circuit, and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.His father was a physical education teacher but wanted to become a cricketer and represent the country. His father was a huge fan of former New Zealand cricketer Mark Greatbatch for his aggressive playing style on the pitch. He was so influenced by Mark Greatbatch that he molded his son into a left-hand batter from the right.His sister, Mythreyi Niveditha gave up on her dream of becoming a doctor to help his brother pursue cricket.In 2013-14, he played in his first important tournament Cooch Behar Trophy, where he scored 352 runs from his six matches in which he added three fifties to his tally.On 25 December 2019, he made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu against Madhya Pradesh in Indore. He scored 45 runs in his two innings for the team.On 21 February 2019, he made his T20 debut for Tamil Nadu against Rajasthan in Surat, where he managed to score only six runs off eight balls. He has played 19 T20 matches for the Tamil Nadu side and scored 393 runs with a strike rate of 120.18. He has scored two fifties in this format with 92 not out being his highest score.
