Biography
Bombay Acoustic People is a LIVE band that comprises experienced composers – Sankarshan Kini on six-string steel and Anurag Shanker on six-string nylon. BAP is a novel take on the contemporary acoustic original instrumental music. They present original soulful music, and acoustic conversations evolving from grass-root ideas. Each song tells its own story through evolving moods. Bombay Acoustic People just returned from a Europe tour. They were invited to play at the official club night of the Jazzahead Festival in Bremen, followed by gigs in Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Vienna, and Paris. Their music was very well received in all the cities. Earlier this year, they released their debut studio album. BAP is a true representation of contemporary music that is originating from the Indian subcontinent and is truly one of its kind.
