Bhushan Bagadia is a professional photographer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. His relationship with dance began while he was in college and was a part of a dance troupe. He continued to be fascinated by performing arts and got involved with it. He attended theatre workshops facilitated by mentors like Mahesh Dattani and Michael Walling. He also attended a dance-theatre workshop by Diana Tholoor. He went on to assist different directors and theatre companies with production and even acted in a few plays. He got re-engaged with dance in 2011, after handling production for a few dance companies in Bangalore. He went on tour with STEM Dance Kampni as the lighting designer, as they performed across Wales in 2012, all the while capturing the experience in pictures. In 2006, while on a holiday in UK, he went diving for the first time, off the coast of Cornwall. The 12-hour journey in the almost-freezing water was worth it and kickstarted what has now become a full-blown romance with diving. He obtained his Open Water certification in Cornwall and since then has completed his Advance Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications. Beginning in 2011, he spent two months with Liquid Media in Koh Tao, Thailand, learning the craft of underwater photography and film-making, allowing him to fuse two of his biggest passions. In the last five years, diving has taken him to the coasts of Australia, Maldives, Indonesia, UK, Thailand, and India, completing 100 logged dives and several lazy unlogged ones. In 2008, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy followed by advanced courses in the School of Visual Arts. During his time there, he worked on over 25 independent films, pitching in different roles, his favourites being a gaffer and an editor. He grew up on a heavy diet of cricket, representing his school and other teams, always nurturing most little Indian boys' dream of being a cricket player. While he didn't make it to the cricket circles through the sport, his camera did get him there. He was the official photographer for the Mumbai Indians team for the IPL Seasons 2013 and 2014.
