The word radix means the source or the origin. This band was formed early in the winter of 2007. Initially, the band performed in promotional activities and school festivals. they would perform covers of popular mainstream songs, and would also compose songs themselves. radix strived towards commercial acknowledgement for more than a year, performing free of cost, with the euphoria of music being their only reward. Their persistence finally paid off as they started getting good platforms and, later commercial shows with reputable brand names. their compositions were admired by both the audience as well as other artists. in order to further hone their talent, all the members started training, professionally, with the best faculty in the city. The band did lesser number of shows, comparatively, in 2009, as they chose to give priority to learning music and backstage work over public performances, in the same year, Rohit joined the band, Radix remembered with even more passion than before in 2010, It participated in an enormous number of band competitions, first in Delhi/NCR, and then at the national level, and won almost all of them.
