My Compelling Story

  Behind the Mirror is a new generation LIVE band originating from Kolkata. They are among the experimental musicians who love pushing the boundaries and genres of music beyond the conventional ways. They had recently won the runners up at the Sangeet Bangla Musicgiri in 2015.   The band comprises of five members. Poulomi Das is on the vocals, Surya on the bass guitar, Ayan plays the violin, while Suvonil plays the drums and Subhadip is on the guitar. Together they transform the mood of the audience and set the stage on fire.   Their music and performances are centred around semi-classical and rock music genre. Apart from that, they also love to experiment with other genres like blue, alternative rock and pop. Just like the name of the band, their performances have a philosophical angle in all their songs.     Behind the Mirror released an album on iTunes called Khone Khone which made the popularity of the band increase even more. Their releases have been featured in Japan too. Unlike other newcomer bands, they love to keep the heart and soul of their music inclined to being simple and authentic. This gives a beautiful feel to the listeners while they are performing on stage.
