Banned Frequency is a LIVE band based out of Kolkata, West Bengal. It was formed in 2012. From there on, the journey started off with four musicians – Argha on vocals, Subhajit on guitars, Ritam on bass, and Biswanath on the drums. They have performed for colleges like Kishore Bharati College, Jadavpur University, NSHM Knowledge Campus Kolkata, etc. The band has also performed for media events of 104.8 FM and Power 107.8 FM, Bangla Rock Magazine, etc. Banned Frequency has been featured in Prathama Ekhon among the rising bands of Kolkata. They were also nominated for Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands Global Competition 2014.
