Bani Seth, the doe-eyed splendour with her camera as synonymous as to the reigns that a gladiator holds while riding his chariot. Bani was born in the city of veritable melting pots of artists, New Delhi. She bloomed in the city beautiful, Chandigarh. An alumni of Vivek High School, Chandigarh, Bani is a Psychology Honours student from GGDSD College. Her verve as a photographer was embarked upon a few years ago. With no formal education in the subject, her proficiency as a photographer was acquired and cultivated under Mr Kapil Gulati and Mr Rahul Dutta. Throughout this voyage, Bani has discovered the means of success without any inhibition; confronted and inquired every imperative along with conceptions to facilitate administration of the visual idiom. It has been this fearless approach in articulating her dream, which has helped her triumph the praise of many, including many well-acknowledged brands across the country. Bani has also been acclaimed as the youngest Fashion Photographer of Chandigarh. In addition, her work has also featured in numerous newspapers and given critical acclaim by relatively several magazines. Launching her career with fashion photography, which was austere, yet documented for the exquisiteness it carried, Bani’s portfolio today is enclosed with clients such as Miss India, Miss Bhutan, and Miss Russia. Bani’s critically commended editorial work appears often in Glimpse Magazine and various other publications. What casts her in the mould of one of Chandigarh’s most sought after photographers is a perception of design and beauty that one would find in few. She has shot for distinguished designers such as Falguni & Shane Peacock, Masaba Gupta, Pankaj & Nidhi, Mandeep Litt, Amit Aggarwal, to name a few; brands such as Burberry, Christian Louboutin, Bottega Veneta, Tommy Hilfiger, Claire’s, L’Oréal, Schwarzkopf; boutiques like The Collective, The Closet, The Shoe Factory, and so forth. Bani’s foray hooked on fashion photography has never constrained herself to the limitations of a visual language. Her continuing effort at broadening the horizons of her vision has seen her set benchmarks in still imagery. Her work stands a culmination of her journey so far; a diverse body of her experiences.
