Baishali Dalmiya is an Indian politician and a former member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. She is also a whole-time director at M.L. Dalmiya & Co. Ltd. and holds directorship roles at four other companies.On 27 September 2001, Baishali became a whole-time director at M.L. Dalmiya & Co. Ltd. On 16 August 2004, she became a director of APD Properties Ltd. This was followed by taking up the directorship role at Bantala IT Infrastructure Ltd. on 23 June 2008. Both the guys followed her in Honda City and also damaged her car in an attempt to scare her. Baishali saw the cops nearby and called them for help. The cops took the young men to the New Alipore police station, and Baishali went after them. She filed a complaint against both of them, after which they were booked by the police under section 279 for rash driving, 354D for staking a woman, 338 for traffic-related injuries, and 427 for damaging another vehicle. [9]Telegraph India.In April 2015, A complaint was filed against M.L. Dalmiya & Co. Ltd. and its directors by the Calcutta Leather Complex Tanners Association. The association accused the Baishali Dalmiya, Avishek Dalmiya, and other company directors of misappropriating funds given by the government for constructing the Kolkata Leather Complex after laying down the wastewater pipeline. The wastewater pipelines had to be constructed using non-corrosive and highly durable HDPE pipelines as per the UN guidelines. The company was accused of using brick sewer and RCC pipelines for the transport of toxic effluents. After this complaint, police went for inspecting the site and found the allegation to be true, after which an FIR was filed against the company. She was instantly given the party ticket to contest the Legislative Assembly elections. She contested the election from Bally Assembly Constituency and won it. From 2016 to 2021, she worked as a BJP MLA. He commented on Baishali for taking an illegal commission in the form of cut money from the beneficiaries of the government welfare scheme. After this provocation, Baishali protected and threatened him to either prove his allegation in 24 hours or be ready to face legal action. She talked about this incident and said, His (Ahmeds) allegation is completely false. I have never taken a paisa from anyone. I am also the director of M L Dalmiya & Co and I dont need to earn in this manner, [12]Hindustan Times.In the same year, she launched a book named Baishalis Diary, which was authored by her. She prompted this book and also distributed it during West Bengal Assembly election campaigns.On 5 March 2021, a complaint was filed against Baishli for knowingly omitting three criminal cases in her election nomination form. The complaint was filled by Tajbil Ahmed, who was the poll agent of the All India Trinamool Congress in the 2021 elections. As per him, she hid two lawsuits against her out of which two were logged at the Kolkata Leather Complex police station and one was the Hare Street Police case. He also appealed to cancel her nomination for the 2021 assembly election.
