Babbal Rai is a Punjabi singer and an actor who is based in Melbourne but keeps traveling to India regularly. He was born in the village Samrala, in Punjab. Since his childhood, he has been a music lover and wanted to become an artist. He was a screen captivator in Doordarshan during his childhood. Babbal was in Australia when he released his first song – 'Australian Challa' – and the song went viral all over the globe. He became the new YouTube sensation. He came to more limelight as a singer when he released his debut album 'Sau Putt'. That was the turning point of his singing career. In the year 2012, he released the single track 'Sohni', which again was appreciated a lot in the Punjabi music industry. Babbal sings what he feels from his heart. As a playback singer, his first song was in Jimmy Shergill's movie, 'Rangeeley'. In the year 2014, his multi-starrer project – 'Kudi Tu Pataka', became a hit and was highly appreciated by the audiences. In 2014 only, he released the song, 'Girlfriend', under the label of the hit music record, Speed Records. Every time Babbal releases a song, he makes sure that it is liked and appreciated by the audiences.
