Baani Sandhu was born in a middle-class family in Amritsar.She grew up in Mohali.Baani developed a great interest in music and dance in her childhood.When Baani was 5 years old, she started learning music from Hira Singh.She has also learnt music from Roohi Didar and Priyanka.Baani actively used to take part in the cultural programs during her school and college days.
