Biography

Avina Furtado is a professional singer based out of Margao, Goa. She always dreamt to make a place in the light of people who brought pride to her family. She faced many obstacles on her way, but her family’s love always pushed her forward. As a person, Avina is very enthusiastic, ambitious, optimistic, and practical. Her first interaction with music was when she started playing keyboard at the age of 13.  The love for music attracted Avina towards her second instrument at the age of 15, the saxophone. The choice of the saxophone was to stand out of the crowd. This started her journey of music. Her singing journey started from her church choir, followed by the Rachol seminary choir, Santa Cecilia choir. Soon, Avina started participating in various singing competitions and events and there she faced the wrath of criticism and partiality. Gathering strength, she received a lot of help and support from family and friends. Avina performs for various types of musical shows and events. She sings English, Konkani, and a few Hindi songs as well.
