Arun The Mentalist is a professional magician based out Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is an international award-winning magician, escape artist, and a professional mentalist. A qualified Management and Law graduate, Arun’s endearing passion for mentalism and magic made him take it up as a profession. He was attacked by polio at the age of one, and he took this disability as a motivational factor to turn himself into the multi-talented person he is today. Arun was the first person to perform the suspended Straight Jacket Escape in 2007 for an AIDS awareness campaign in India. His act received praises from the hundreds of spectators and viewers. Later, he gained recognition by performing at various TV shows, putting up close illusion shows, and conducting blindfold bike rides to convey social messages. He was cited as ‘Local David Blaine in making’ by The Hindu in 2007. His shows cater to all kinds of audiences, right from children to elderly people. His corporate shows are a runaway success with both the clients and employees. He puts up a good show wherever he performs. He adopts techniques that combine mentalism and humour. He also makes balloon sculptures for children. He is a trained hypnotist who knows how to command the minds of other people, extract information from them, and influence their thoughts by analysing their psychological and behavioural patterns.
