Arnav Garg is a professional singer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore.
The 17-year old musician started learning the tabla at the age of six and finished his fifth year Sangeet Bivakar – Bangiya Sangeet Parishad from Rabindra Bharti University in West Bengal, India.
Eight years of tabla playing had given him a strong sense of rhythm, but he envied the ability of the guitar to play tunes that others could recognise, something the percussive nature of the tabla could not offer. So, Arnav borrowed his brother’s guitar and stayed up till four in the morning trying to perfect his first pop song.
Within a week, his brother made it clear that Arnav needed his own guitar. In six months, he was teaching him heavy metal songs that his teacher refused to acknowledge even existed.
Arnav explored a really diverse range of genres on the guitar, from pop and rap to math metal and classic rock. Over the last year or so, he also started learning Hindustani vocals, which has helped him strengthen his understanding of Indian music tremendously.
Arnav also has a solo project. The group members have been involved in music for over eight years individually and play various genres from metal to jazz to pop. As a band, they have been together for two years and performed in multiple places like BFlat and Forum Value Mall.
