Biography

Arijit Singh is one of the most popular Indian playback singers. He shot to fame by participating in the Indian singing reality series, 'Fame Gurukul', in 2005 and being one of the top 6 contestants. His first song was 'All For One' from the Disney musical movie, High School Musical 2, which was composed by the renowned Indian music directors, Shankar Ehsaan Loy. He later went to become an assistant music programmer to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar, Pritam Chakraborty, and Mithoon. He became a household name with the release of the song, 'Tum Hi Ho', from the movie, Aashiqui 2 (2013). Arijit was born in Murshidabad, West Bengal and received training in classical vocals.
