Aravind Bhargav started his musical journey with Shri U Shrinivas at the age of six years, much before he could realise the privilege of coming under such an illustrious and legendary Guru. Aravind hails from a musical background and belongs to a Telugu family settled in Tamil Nadu.
His father, K Srikantan, and his family have traditionally been great fans of classical music. His mother, S Gnana Prasuna, a vocalist, is a disciple of Sri M Balamuralikrishna, with credits of performances on AIR and grandmother, NM Lakshmi, was a veena artist and music composer.
Aravind completed his Arangetram under the auspices of Shrinivas Institute of World Musique (SIOWM) at Vani Mahal in 2008. He performed his first full-length concert for SICA of Hyderabad, in 2009, which fetched him instant recognition and appreciation alike, from all quarters.
Trying to play melodiously, sensitively and energetically are the special features of Aravind. The appreciation and rapport, which he shares with his accompanying artists, adds to his appeal.
Aravind has had the privilege of being supported by many established artists like Sri VV Ravi, Smt Srilakshmi Venkataramani, Smt Poosarla Manorama, Smt Vishnubhatla Krishnaveni, P Suresh Babu, Mullaivasal Chandramouli, Khandadevi Vijayaraghavan, etc.
