Anuradha Paudwal started her career as a playback singer in Bollywood in Hindi films with Kalicharan (starring Reena Roy and Shatrughan Sinha). Her first solo was in the movie, 'Aap Beati', (starring Shashi Kapoor and Hema Malini) with Laxmikant Pyarelal as the Music Director. She also occasionally sang songs for composers Kalyanji Anandji, Jaidev, Rajesh Roshan, and Usha Khanna. Anuradha is very famous for her collaboration with Gulshan Kumar of T-series fame. She, along with Gulshan Kumar, was effective in getting many new playback singers in the front, including Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet and many new Music Directors as well. She sang some songs with Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and also with her female co-singers that include Alka Yagnik, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Sadhana Sargam, and Kavita Krishnamurthy. She has also sung with South singers – S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and Yesudas.
