Anmol Narang is a second-generation immigrant in the USA. Her parents had migrated from Punjab (India) to the USA in the early 90s. These learnings strengthened her motivation to serve in the United States Army, subsequently, she sent her application for the entrance to the United States Military Academy at West Post.In an interview with the New York Times, Narang said, that her paternal grandfather had served in the Indian army, therefore to serve in the military was naturally in her blood, and becoming a part of the army had been her prime ambition.Narang has successfully attained the post of Second Lieutenant in the US military. Henceforth, Narang will complete her Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma, before assuming her initial posting at Okinawa, Japan in January 2021.
