Biography
Ananthaal is a professional LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. It is an all-star musical collaboration between award-winning Bollywood music producer/composer Clinton Cerejo and famous playback singers – Vijay Prakash and Bianca Gomes. Rest of the members include Sheldon D’Silva on bass and Gino Banks on drums. Their music is a seamless blend of Indian motifs, Sufi and classical influences with Western arrangements and aesthetics ranging from pop to jazz. He is well known for his vocal performance on the Oscar-winning song ‘Jai Ho’. With multiple hits in Bollywood and a series of award-winning songs in the South Indian film Industry, he is one of the most sought-after playback singers. From scoring for movies, judging music reality show and appearing on Coke Studio to performing with the likes of Zakir Hussain, AR Rahman, and Taufiq Qureshi at venues like the O2 Arena, Wembley, WOMAD or Woodstock, Vijay Prakash has shown absolutely no signs of slowing down. She is a current favourite in the thriving advertising and jingle scenario in Mumbai. She has numerous songs to her credit. She toured North America and Europe with Bollywood mavericks Vishal-Shekhar. Influenced by R&B, alternative, and jazz, Bianca seamlessly blends these genres with indie pop and creates a new sound altogether. With film credits that include Amit Trivedi’s ‘English Vinglish’, Telugu composer Gibran’s ‘Jil’, ‘Ekk Main Aur Ek Tu’, and two highly lauded seasons of Coke Studio, her rendition of songs like the classic ‘Mauje Naina’ continues to garner her praise in India. He is a multiple award-winning composer and producer working in the Advertising and Film Music industry in Mumbai for over 16 years. Some of Clinton’s work includes commercials for Google, Audi, Pepsi, Vodafone and numerous as a producer with Vishal Bhardwaj, AR Rahman, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and Salim-Sulaiman to name a few. Clinton was the first contemporary composer from India to conduct a residency and a masterclass at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Best known for his work in Coke Studio, his song ‘Madaari’ went on to become the most pivotal song in the indie music scene. With Ananthaal’s music, Clinton pushes the envelope of Indian music into entirely uncharted waters and will be his most adventurous work yet.
