Biography

Amit k Das from a beautiful town of Dooers called Jalpaiguri in West Bengal right on the foot steps of Himalaya. I started my music career as a vocalist and guitarist of a local metal band back in 1997. After 1999 I moved to Kolkata for my higher studies and I was also performing as a solo rock musician in clubs, pubs or at any place where I can do that around the city till 2006. Well in 2002, that was the time when I literally get in to music learning. I had the privilege to learn music and guitar from country's one of the living legendary guitarist musician  Mr. Amyt Datta. And that was life changing experience for me b'coz at that time I totally get in to the blues and then jazz and so on...I continued attending his classes barely for two years but he did open up the window. I came back to my home to study music as a serious music learner, as my gurus in all these years around the world told me to do and some times they asked me to do and it is all for learning. One need at least this much of time to be a good performer. I must mention one of my greatest experience in distance learning ( e mails, social networks, videos etc..)from great master of eastern and western music Mr. Amit Chatterjee. He is a guitarist, vocalist, sitarist, composer. He was in "joe zawinul syndicate" for thirteen years as a guitarist, vocalist. He always help when ever I get stuck in advance learning of music, philosophy and life. That's all I guess.. right now I'm looking forward for my solo blues act as singer, guitarist, song writer and composer.
