Ambush is a LIVE band based in Guwahati, Assam. Formed in February 2015, the band’s main aim is to represent the voice for the voiceless. Ambush is a revolution against everything wrong that takes place in the society and region through music. The band is against fake encounters, corrupted government, communal clashes, bandh culture, and rape. They started with a lineup consisting of Amarjeet Bey on guitar, Jitu Tokbi on bass, and Sandip Hakmaosa on drums. Later, Risim Rongpi joined Ambush, bringing his political charge rhymes with a lot of aggression, calling it political hip hop. Most of their songs are politically influenced.
