Alobo Naga & the Band is a rock band based out of Dimapur in Nagaland. Founded in 2010, this gained recognition in 2011, when their video song – Painted Dreams – topped the song-chart in no time. The video song got premiered on the TV channel VH1, in August 2011. Following their popularity, Alobo Naga & The Band got nominated in the category of the best Indian/worldwide act, in the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011. However, in 2012, they won the award. Members: Alobo Naga on vocals, guitar, piano, and ukulele Fung Walling on bass and vocals DJ Sumika Yepthomi on turntable, guitar and vocals David Sunar on drums, percussion and vocals Lima Mongro on guitars Past Members: Akum James on guitar and vocals Theja Khate on drums, percussion and vocals
