Akshar is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad. It is a bunch of passionate musicians who believes in making music. For that reason, the band stays honest and true to the craft and, above all, keep up to the gift and talents they individually contain in them. Akshar blends music by picking the latest and old Hindi songs and styles it up with a modern touch without disturbing the prime ingredients and preservatives of the original. Achievements: Opened for an internationally known pop act Akcent, 2013 Opened for renowned band Strings, 2012 Headlined the cultural fest at the prestigious Goa Institute of Management, Goa, 2014 Headlined the Musical Night at KG Reddy College of Engineering, Hyderabad, 2014 Winner of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Band Members: Manmohan Raj – Vocals Mohan, as peers call him, is a Hindustani musician with a solid foundation. He bears everything that a front man needs, and hence leads Akshar. Surabit Haflongbar – Guitars From solid metal shreds to a soothing rock, Surabit adds a lot to the band, hence is an asset. Gopal – Keyboards Hailing from the Howrah, the fine touring keyboard player has an immense sense of music and minds his business effectively. Vijit Singh – Bass Every team needs a well-experienced and passionate member. Vijit is fearless and was the first one to use a fretless bass guitar in South India. Aaron Wesley – Drums Aaron is filled with good sense of humour and mostly keeps the band in the groove as a drummer. The groove is the key.
