A professional playback singer, Akash Talapatra has lent his voice to numerous songs in various movie industries across India. He has recorded songs for Indian movies with leading playback singers like Sunidhi Chauhan. Born in Karnataka, he spent his childhood in Bangalore and started learning music when he was just 3 years of age. That was how he started the journey with Indian Classical music. Aged 5, he gave his first public performance. Later he also went on to learn Hindustani vocal from renowned classical singers like Biswananth Dutta, Arun Bhaduri, Pandit Nagabhushan Hegde, and was also trained by the legendary Manna Dey. He is also trained in Western music.? ?He has performed across industries and languages. He sings in Hindi, Tamil, Malyalam, Telugu and Kannada. He became popular for his music in Munjane (2012) and Veera Parampare (2010). He has received several state, national and international awards.
