Agnya was formed by Santosh Jayaram and Amrit Kapoor in 2010. Santosh, a seasoned classical vocalist and veena player, and Amrit, a blues guitarist, had their first few jams in a small garage studio and instantly got along. They ran into renowned metalheads, Gurdip Singh Narang of Gutslit, and Mayank Sharma of Zygnema and Atmosfear. Agnya then took to form a sound that was diverse and yet unique. At the band’s core is the desire to collaborate and create heartfelt melodies inspired by their varied individual musical backgrounds. The result is a melting pot of genres, sounds and influences from all across the musical spectrum. The LIVE band is based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
