Afshan Anjum is an Indian TV journalist, anchor, and blog writer.She started her career as a sports correspondent with Aaj Tak in January 1999 in New Delhi.She then joined NDTV in January 2003 as a news editor (sports). She used to host Khel India/Googly a daily sports round-up show.She received a Chevening Scholarship during the program while pursuing a course in Broadcast Journalism in 2006.In 2008, she hosted a sports news show Kissa Cricket Ka along with the former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu and gained immense popularity with it.Afshan has hosted a few popular cricket events like Indias Tour of Pakistan in 2004, ICC World Cup Cricket tournaments in 2007, 2011, and 2015.In 2019, she started working as a columnist, writer, and blogger at The Kashmir Monitor a newspaper in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.She was appointed as a C4D consultant for UNICEF India in September 2020.She shifted to Jammu & Kashmir after her marriage.
