Achint Thakkar is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He could be best described as a hybrid of sorts, influenced by the Indian subcontinent culture and the Western aesthetics of composition and production. Thakkar's passion for experimentation led him to compose music for movies. He has worked in many short movies including Omar Iyer's 'Mon Ami Noire', which garnered critical acclaim in film festivals of India, Europe, and the US. It also won him the award for 'Best Music' at the Profire Film Festival 2012 held in Scotland. Thakkar recently completed his first solo album, which is due for release globally on Times Music India. It was mixed by Grammy-award winning mixing engineer, PA Deepak, and mastered at the Abbey Road Studios in London.
