Does Abrar-ul-Haq smoke?: Not Known.Does Abrar-ul-Haq drink alcohol?: Not Known.Although Abrar was born in Faisalabad, he has lived at a number of places throughout his childhood, because of his father being a civil servant.Upon completing his masters, Abrar went on to become a teacher of Geography at Pakistans one of the most reputed institutes, Aitchison College, before realising that singing was his true love.Abrar came up with his first music album Billo De Ghar, in 1995, which has sold over 16 Million copies.He is the founder of a charitable organization, Services Aimed at Health and Awakening in Remote Areas (SAHARA), or Sahara for Life Trust, which takes care of health and education of people living in the remote areas of Pakistan.He was awarded the Lux Style Award for Best Singer in 2002 and 2003.In 2003, his trust set up its first large-scale hospital, Sughra Shafi Medical Complex, in Narowal, for the people who faced a lot of problems while transporting patients to the bigger cities for treatment.Abrar joined the political world with Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf in December 2011 and serves as their Secretary of Foreign Affairs.He contested the 2013 general elections as a member of PTI, but lost to Ahsan Iqbal of Pakistan Muslim League-N, by a margin of over 44 thousand votes.
