Biography

Abhijit Gupta is a professional singer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. One of the four Bengalureans at the homegrown English singing talent hunt called ‘The Stage’, Abhijit managed to gain some following with his charming performances and a smooth and velvet-like voice while flirting with the camera. He started humming tunes as a child and started to learn music seriously later, delighting everyone around him. Singing in English has always been one of his strengths and he was a key performer in his school choir. He even had his own band. Today, he runs his own travel agency while continuing to pursue music. However, with such amateur musical leanings, he never thought of participating in a reality show until when Carlton, the organiser of a karaoke competition he previously took part in, one day pushed him to the audition of ‘The Stage’.  His melodious and lively strains along with a few stunning acts put together a magical performance, and it was not surprising that stalwarts appreciated him. And for youngsters starting out careers in music, he says that there is nothing bigger than performing at a reality show to showcase their talent.
