Swaraansh Mishra is not only a vocalist but also an efficient composer and lyricist. Legendary Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra (Padma Bhushan recipient) fathered this boy who’s part of 350 year old legacy. He has received his Taal Vidya (rhythm) from his (maternal) grandfather kathak legend, Pt. Birju Maharaj ji (Padma Vibhushan recipient). In the music industry, he’s what they call a natural. He has performed live at Spandan, Mumbai, a concert with percussion maestro Trilok Gortu. He’s even contributed to the experimental album ‘Sangam’, collaborating with Mr. Michael Nyman. For Swaraansh, composing melodies and writing songs is a day well-spent. Azeem Ahmed Alvi is a sitar player and has been ever since his childhood days. These are the perks of having a father who is one of the most renowned and respected sitar artists in the country, Ustad Sayyed Ahmed Alvi. And you add two more legends into the picture, Mohsin Ali Khan and sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, you get the ace young sitar artist Azeem Ahmed. He won his first sitar competition at age 12 (his first stage performance), been awarded the National Scholarship by Government of India, performed at numerous prestigious music festivals in India and countries like Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Australia, Sri Lanka and many more. Sameer Sandhu - A passionate musician and audio engineer from an age when most people are clueless about what they are going to do with their life. Sameer knew his heart belonged only to music. He started training under his mentor DJ/producer Vishal and later went on to study Audio Engineering in Australia. While there he got a chance to work with Oorja Nights, Australia’s biggest event management company. Coming back to India the opportunities got bigger and better. He has performed with giants of the music industry like DJ Suketu, DJ Aqeel, Nikhil Chinappa, DJ Nasha, DJ Mash, Jon O'Bir,DJ Nawed, Juggy D, etc. and worked with the leading clubs of Chandigarh. Enthralling audiences with genres familiar as well as experimental he started his band Chakra:Vu. He has been actively producing music, with his first track Closer By an Inch featuring in an Italian record label, Hypnotic Frames Records, released on Beatport. Together they call themselves 3 The People. Well, their forte is original work. They make their own music and each of their work is an original composition and they work on folktronic too. And to their surprise they have been received quite well by the audience till now. They have performed at the HT Youth Awards, United Art Fair, A Coke Studio event in Chandigarh, at the Belgian embassy, The Delhi Youth Fest and the Surajkund International Festival to name a few. They have also done a lot of club events in different cities. 3 The People came out with their debut album named AMAVASYA under TIMES MUSIC on 28th May 2014. From the very 1st album itself they wanted to come out with collaborative tracks. In this album they have 5 different versions of the track along with another original track by the band name Trio1. The remixes have been done by DJ Suketu, DJ Piyush Sood and DJ Swati. They will continue to release music with the way in future.
