Vikas Kumar is a professional singer and guitarist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. He received his vocal training from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya which is based in Maharashtra Gharana. Dr Gaurav Sood guided him under the Gwalior Gharana. Vikas sings songs from genres such as Hindusthani classical, semi-classical, Bollywood music, Sufi rock, Indie-pop and western pop music. Apart from singing, he took a keen interest in playing instruments such as the guitar, keyboard and drums. He also has a great depth of knowledge in vocal recording, sound engineering and mixing. Vikas made it to the top 20 when he was competing in the reality show, Indian Idol.
