Vandana Supriya is a professional dancer based out of Kochi, Kerala. She is a graduate of Mount Carmel College.
After her graduation, she decided to pursue dance as a career. Her most compelling academic experiences were during her time at Sita School. She considers herself fortunate to have spent time living at Nrityagram - a dance village set up by Protima Gauri.
She joined and completed her diploma in choreography at Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography, under the able guidance of Guru Dr Maya Rao, where she excelled in contemporary dance.
After receiving high honours, she started working as a faculty member at NIKC and was also a member of The Natya Stem Dance Kampani, founded by Madhu Natraj.
She has performed shows with contemporary styles along with the company at various places around India.
Vandana Supriya was inspired by the arts right since her childhood. Watching the dancers at Nrityagram take single-minded steps towards perfection sparked in her the all-consuming desire to surrender herself to dance and revel in its magnificence.
