Tushar Shah is a standup and reality show comedian based out of the financial capital of India, Mumbai. He was born in 1962. Since his school days, Tushar is passionate about humour and poetry. He always observed satire and humour as one of the academic subjects. He is influenced from poets like Ogden Nash and Shel Silverstein (English), Kaka Haathrasi (Hindi), ghazalkaar Mareez (Gujarati), and ghazalkaars Dushyant Kumar and Ghalib (Hindustani). Talking about prose, his favourites include Sharad Joshi (Hindi), Jyotindra Dave (Gujarati), and George Carlin (English). In the year 2002, Tushar published his collection of Hindi poetry on humor and satire – titled ‘Meri Kuchh Haasya Kavitayein’. Also, in 2011, an anthology of medicine-related humorous quotes – titled ‘Prescription Laughs‘. Tushar is professionally an MD in General Medicine and currently practices at Criticare Hospital at Juhu Scheme, Mumbai. He has also conducted non-medical and medical quizzes at multiple platforms. Tushar has also been one of the finalists on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 2. Ever since, he has appeared on several TV channels like Zee and NDTV. Besides performing in India, Shah has also done shows overseas, as a solo artist, and also as an accompanying artist with Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Shreya Ghoshal.
