Based out of Jamshedpur, an industrial town in India, Surjo Bhattacharjee performs with his soulful voice. He got into guitar-playing at a tender age of 10, and later discovered his passion at 18 when he started listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Led Zeppelin. It has been five years since he dived into the ocean of music, and now he swims deep down in it. Ask him about his taste in music, and he is flexible to all genres. “Anything that makes my head turn is good music. From Steve Vai to Chick Corea; from Bob Dylan to Elvis Presley, they all influence me,” says Surjo. It is obvious that guitar players have always been an influence to him; Surjo also admires great singers. “Robert Plant has got to be the greatest vocal inspiration, while SRV for guitar,” he adds.
