Sujata's Nrityalaya is an all-women dance troupe which performs in a mix of various Indian classical styles. Based out of Kathgodam in Uttarakhand, the Nritylaya (literally center of dance), has a won a number of awards and made an appearance in numerous high profile shows.
Sujata's Nrityalaya has highly trained dancers, equipped to deliver serene performances. They have an exciting mix of Kathak and other dance forms. A well-known and reputed troupe, they have number of high-profile achievements to boot. They made their claim to fame by winning the all India Dance Competition show Boogie-Woogie on Sony Television.
They were honoured as 'Shringaarmani' by the Odisha Government. They were given a Special Honour by Rashtriya Mahila Ayog President Ms Girija Vyaas, and Nagrik Samman by Rourkela Vaysh Samaaj. They received special felicitation by Inner Wheel Club, Haldwani and were also honoured by Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Mandal in Mumbai.
The troupe performs across languages and mediums. They have performed on Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada music.
