Sridhar and Thayil is a LIVE duo based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Rolling Stone Magazine India calls them two of the most uninhibited people that ever came together to play with music. The duo has played at stages such as The Great Escape (Brighton), The Southbank Centre (London), Galle Literary Festival (Sri Lanka), The Prithvi Theatre Festival (Mumbai), etc. Their interviews and performances have aired on The Strand (BBC World Service), The Nikki Bedi Show (BBC Asian Network), FlyTV- Brighton, etc. Sridhar and Thayil were named one of 9 artists to watch out for in 2009 by Rolling Stone magazine and awarded the 2009 Jack Daniel's Rock Award for the best new act in the country. S/T's collaborations have included artists such as Noush like Sploosh (vocals, theremin), Dr Das of the ADF (bass), Kishore Sodha from RD Burman's original horn section (trumpet), Adrian D'souza (drums), Tala Faral (keyboard, saxophone), Kenneth Rebello (bass), Amit Ahuja (bass), Virendra Kaith (drums), Pravvy Prav (drums), and Stefan Kaye of Emperor Minge (keyboard) amongst many others.
