Shashwat Singh is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He is a playback singer, Bollywood music producer, and a YouTube singer-songwriter. Shashwat Singh was born in 1990 to an academic family of doctors and teachers in Uttar Pradesh. He inherited the music gene from his mother, Rashmi Singh. He eventually went on to take formal Western classical training at AR Rahman's KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. He debuted in Bollywood in a way that any singer would only dream of. He has sung the track ‘Wat Wat Wat’ for the Bollywood film, 'Tamasha', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The track, whose lyrics was penned by Irshad Kamil, marks the third time that Singh has worked with the Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman. Prior to this, he worked with Rahman for his band NAFS and an initiative by Shekhar Kapoor and AR Rahman together – Qyuki, a social media platform that aims to engage the Indian youth by showcasing new media content.
