Sabareesh's Immortal Raaga is a LIVE band based out of Kochi, Kerala. Sabareesh Prabhakar was born to a musical family. He is the grandson of the late ‘Cherthala Sisters’. He studied vocal music under Tomy Thomas and P. Subramaniam, and violin under TM Abdul Hazeez at the age of five. He completed his BA in music (vocal) at Maharajas College, and MA in violin at RLV College, securing first place. At school, he won the first prize thrice in violin at the CBSE Youth Festival. He won thrice at the MG inter-university competition in violin. Recognising his skills and qualifications, MG University granted him special permission to pursue his post graduation in violin He was awarded a scholarship in Carnatic violin by the Government of India Ministry of Culture. His band, Sabareesh's Immortal Raaga, plays Carnatic fusion music. They have performed in concerts all over Bombay, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Sabareesh Prabhakar has also accompanied esteemed artists like Sankaran Nampoodiri, Trichy Pradeep Kumar, Kanchi Kama Kodi Asthana Vidwan Sangeetha Gopal, Kaithapuram Damodaran Nampoodiri, Dr G Bhuvaneswari, and saxophone maestro G Ramanathan. He has also worked known celebrities like the drummer Sivamani, Stephen Devassy, Naresh Iyyer and Anoop Shankar Sivamani, Padmashri Matanoor Sankarankutty, and Kalaimaamani Alapuzha Karunamoorthy worldwide.
