Biography

Roots is a Delhi-based band that has mastered in music genres like Sufi rock, indie rock, blues, hard rock, and heavy metal. Roots was founded by Manish Thapliyal, in 2012. Manish was looking for a four-piece band that consisted of him on vocals, a bassist, a lead guitarist, a rhythm guitarist, and a drummer who was well-versed with genres like hard rock, blues, Sufi rock, and heavy metal. After many auditions and changes in the line-up, the current members of the band are: Lead singer/rhythm guitar – Manish Thapliyal Lead guitarist – Tenzing Lama Bass guitar – Tushar Pulist Drums/percussions – Paras Bhatia
