Rini Chandra, based out of Mumbai, is a professional singer. In Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Superstars, Rini was able to impress the judges by her soulful voice, cool attitude, and glamorous looks. Rini was among the top eight finalists and, with her charming and talkative personality, she earned a nickname 'Live Basanti'. After the successful journey in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Rini went on on a world tour to perform in a series of concerts in Canada, West Indies, USA, Belgium, Israel, Mauritius, Dubai, Malaysia, and many other countries. Her stunning looks and charismatic persona landed her two roles as an actor in the serials of channel SAB TV’s 'Singhasan Battissi' and 'Yam Hain Hum'. She has given her voice for the title tracks and situation songs in many serials, out of which, the most famous song is 'O Rabba' from the show 'Veera Ek Ardaas' on Star Plus. Rini is also a certified chef and has done culinary arts in Italian cuisine, but her true passion has always been singing, and her dream came true with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2010. Rini's father is a government officer at the Ministry of External Affairs of India and, due to her father's job, she has grown up living in different parts of the world, but has been a fan of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. She won a radio competition of Red FM Idol 2009, Canada, where guru Shri Devend Hundle spotted her and trained her in Hindustani classical music, and since then, her journey of singing never stopped. Rini considers her guru as an angel in disguise.
