Prashant Salil is a professional santoor player based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma trained him and he now has 35 years of experience and training in music. He also composes and arrange music and has worked with renowned singers like Udit Narayan and Sukhwinder Singh. His latest project is for the Vaishno Devi Trust in Jammu. He would be playing his instrument at the temple premises to inspire the devotees. At present, he performs on a resident band contract at the JW Marriott hotel in Mumbai with an Indo-jazz fusion ensemble known as The Brown Indian Band.
