Pooja Kumar was born into an Indian family at St. Louis, Missouri, United States.Her family is an Indian emigrant in the USA.Her father belongs to Dehradun while her mother is from Lukhnow and both get settled in the USA before the birth of Pooja.Her family wanted Pooja to become either a doctor or engineer. But she chose acting as her career and her father was not happy with this.She started her acting career in 2000, and since then she has worked for 20 plus films in different languages.She worked in several Television commercials for the brands Bombay Dreams, Dodge, Pearl Vision, New York Lottery, AOL Time Warner, and more.She has worked for some Hollywood movies that include Man On A Ledge, Brawl In A Cell Block 99, Bollywood Hero, Flavors, Hiding Divya, Night Of Henna, and more.She hosted for many Television shows, competitions, and news bulletin including Jaago Aur Jeeto on Zee TV, BPL Oye on Channel V, and Bollywood Hero on IFC.She is the only Indian-American Actress to work in five different languages.
