Pippin aka Jatin Puri's genre-bending sound can't be categorized by just one box, as it is a peculiar blend of two-step, dubstep, trip-hop, and indie tunes. Jatin has played at various venues and cities in India, Australia and New Zealand – over the last five years. On stage, Pippin blends his self-produced electronica tunes, incorporating a couple of controllers and LIVE percussions, with his LIVE vocals. Before Pippin, Jatin was an established LIVE performer, who quickly gained the countrywide reputation for his innovative take on varied forms of electronica and hip-hop. He has also been a drummer with a metal band for four years. Jatin was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, where music has also been an integral part of his childhood; his mother is a piano teacher, vocal coach and composer. Pippin has been recognized by various music aficionados such as Rolling Stone Magazine, Wild City, Homegrown, Platform Magazine, VH1 India, Border Movement, Red Bull, Little Black Book, and Elle magazine. He was also featured on the line-up of festivals like Magnetic Fields, NH7 Weekender, ?Sunburn Festival, Off The Radar, Splore Festival, etc.
