Naina Kundu is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. In addition to leading her own dynamic RnB funk group, The Naina Kundu Trio, Naina has been playing the bass and backing prominent vocalists like Uday Benegal (Alms for Shanti, Indus Creed), Joe Alvares, Siddharth Basrur and Nikhil D'Souza, Bollywood singers like Shriram Iyer, Manasi Scott, Shilpa Rao and Neelesh Mishra, and been an integral part of projects such as Axe-Tortion featuring Chandresh Kudwa, Sanjay Joseph's fusion trio, Cap'n'Crunch (Floyd Fernandes, Karan Joseph, Andrew Kanga jazz-rock fusion collective) and RnB big band, Live Cycle.
As an accomplished electric bassist, Naina enjoys playing in a diverse gamut of genres such as funk, blues, RnB, and even more progressive and adventurous forms of improvisational music.
Since her debut performance at Del Italia in 2010, Naina has be seen frequently performing in prominent music venues in India including The Blue Frog, Hard Rock Cafe, Gordon House Pollyesthers, Rockville Bar, Mehboob Studios, Chennai Unwind Center, Fusion 9, Secunderabad Club, Q'Ba, Opus, B Flat, Herbs and Spice, 64 House Full of Flavors, Take 5, Shisha Cafe, Arc Asia, and High Spirits among others.
Naina has also played at music festivals like Windsong, SpringFest (IIT), A Summer's Day 2013 and others.
She has just finished working on her upcoming album with producer and keyboardist, Scott Kinsey, which is set to release in early 2016.
