MIST is a LIVE band that is based out of Mumbai, India. They play Hindi pop rock music.
There are two members in this band, Vaibhav Sharma and Shikhar Gupta.
Vaibhav has received a training in Indian and western vocal music. He was the founder of The Centaur in New Delhi for which he was a singer and songwriter. He trained under the guidance of Ghulam Qadir Niazi Sahab and sang for the Delhi-based band, Mrigya.
Radio One had a division named Sounds of Freedom which broadcasted his music. He was also featured on NDTV, RSJ and National Dailies.
He performed at college fests, club shows, music festivals, Nat Geo’s Wild Wild Fest and also performed with Indus Creed, Advaita, Men-Who-Pause and many others.
He is also a percussionist and songwriter, along with being a singer. He has also covered a few songs such as the ones by Abida Parveen, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Freddie Mercury and Steven Tyler.
Shikhar Gupta plays the guitar, is into production and is a sound engineer. He is inspired by rock music.
He won many scholarships from ESP Guitars. He studied at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He performed with artists from Hollywood as well.
