Megh is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.  They play a blend of soft rock, blues, Sufi rock, and Indie rock music. Their music is highly characterised by deep and meaningful lyrics, with mesmerising melodies. Highly influenced by the Indian culture comprising of Punjabi and Haryanvi folk culture to soulful Urdu poets, the band uses elements of rock and blues with their version of Sufi music. The band members are influenced by a vast repertoire of genres like alternative rock and Hindi rock. Their inspirations are artists like Led Zeppelin, Indian Ocean, and Jal. Maddy He is the face and voice of the band. Also known as Mandeep Sharma, Maddy has been passionate about singing since a very young age. He is an electronics engineer from NIT Jalandhar. His great wit and charm, along with his golden voice, are one of the reasons of Megh’s existence. Tonk Manish Tonk is the visionary for Megh. A NIT Jalandhar graduate, he is the backbone of the band and is mainly responsible for the band’s compositions and innovative fusion sound. With unique guitar rhythms and solos, he adds life to the band. Pankaj He handles the low end of the band. Pankaj, with a vast experience in music, is a versatile drummer and uses his skills to strengthen the spine of the band. With his unorthodox style of drumming, he adds intelligence to their music. Bob Also known as Bhobojeet Kalita, Bob is not a stranger to the big stage. He holds a variety of bass techniques and ability to provide maturity to the band’s sound. Humble and optimistic, Bob believes in living his life to the fullest and eradicating small worries.
