His versatility with different genre, particularly made a mark with his ease in dealing with and adapting Hindustani and Carnatic Classical idioms on an instrument like his custom designed double neck bass with “Taraf “ and “Chikari” strings makes him one of the busiest collaborating bass player/composer with some of the most eminent artists of the Indian Classical Scene and International Jazz Scene He is a disciple of singer and music composer,Kalaimammani Awardee from the Govt of India, late. R . Visweswaran of Chennai, mridangist Vidwan S. Shekhar of Kolkata ,sarod maestro Pratyush Banerjee , percussionist Monojit Datta,tabla maestro Pt Tanmoy Bose and guitarist Amyt Datta of Kolkata.
