Joginder is a professional instrumentalist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.
Born in a holy city of Amritsar, music was his passion as his father, Late Sh Gyan Sharma, was a singer, musician and dancer in Little Ballet Troupe, which was founded by his guru, Shri Shanti Bardhan, at Mumbai.
By that time, Joginder’s father had almost visited the entire world for their performances with the troupe. His father was his first guru. So, he started to teach him singing.
So Joginer’s passion for music was nurtured by his father and later by Late Pandit Sitaram. However, it was instrumental music, which really drew out the musician in him. Beginning with the Chandra Sarang and esraj under his father's guidance, Joginder took over the cello, which he mastered under the guidance of Late George Lester, leading cellist of the film industry, and Parvez Doctor of BP Music Ensemble in Mumbai.
After finishing his graduation from Shri Aurobindo College, Delhi University, Joginer moved to Mumbai to learn cello thoroughly. He also captured the finer aspect of playing Indian flute under Shri Sumant Raj, one of the oldest flautist of Indian cinema and founder president of Cine Musician’s Association Mumbai.
Later in Delhi, he learnt from Shri Vishnu Prasanna and clarinet and saxophone with CD'mello in Delhi.
He has performed for the topmost music composers of Delhi, some to name Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt Jwala Prasad, Shri Charanjeet Ahuja, Late Shri Amar Das, Late Shri Sushil Das Gupta, Shri Barun Das, Shri Partho Das, etc.
